hCG drops sold in the United States are almost all homeopathic which, in short, means that if there is any measurable hCG in the solution it will be almost undetectable. You could have one molecule of hCG in 12 cc’s of alcohol and still sell it as homeopathic.
Still some people swear by it and I will not argue with them, I just want you to be aware of what you are buying. If you are going to buy homeopathic drops, and believe me they do work I recommend HCG Ultra Drops.

An alternative to homeopathic drops is to make your own drops from vodka and hCG. These drops will contain the correct amount of real hCG and after all is said and done they will be cheaper than most homeopathic drops.
I make my own and I can get a 60 day supply of real hCG drops for around $60; shipping included.
Here’s how:
Alcohol DO NOT USE RUBBING ALCOHOL! Rubbing Alcohol is poisonous when taken internally! Just use good distilled liquor (rum, vodka, gin, etc.) This acts as a preservative and aids in absorption, so don?’t omit it. You will not taste it.
hCG ? it is best to use 5,000 IU when making sub lingual. The potency will last about 30 days, or more. (This is where I order my 5,000 IU’s of pure hCG)
Amber glass bottle ? get this at a health food store. The smaller it is, the better. You will only be putting two teaspoons of liquid in it.
0.3 ml syringe (for taking your dose) ? The best is an insulin syringe. Try to get one that you can remove the needle from. 5 ml syringe for drawing the water and alcohol.
Drops
- In a small (10-15 ml) amber glass bottle mix 5 ml water (can be tap water or bottled water, whatever you have on hand) and 5 ml alcohol.
- Open vial. Make sure you use something like an alcohol swab or a tissue to cover it to snap the neck so you don?t cut yourself.
- Draw up a small amount of the water/alcohol mixture. It doesn’t matter how much, you just want to dissolve the powder into a solution.
- Slowly inject the water into the vial.
- Swirl the vial to mix. The powder is highly soluble and will mix easily.
- Hold the vial upside down over the amber bottle and put your syringe into the neck of the vial and draw out the solution. If you spill any, it will go into the bottle. Make sure you get every drop out of the vial.
- Swirl the amber bottle to mix.
- Store solution in the refrigerator.
To use the solution, draw up the following amount for each dose. Remember, you will be taking your dose twice daily, approximately 12 hours apart.
These are the different dosages. You will need to experiment a bit to find the right one for you. Body weight, age, metabolism all play a part.
.15 cc (or 15 on an insulin syringe) = 75 IU per dose, 150 IU daily
.2 cc (or 20 on an insulin syringe) = 100 IU per dose, 200 IU daily
.25 cc (or 25 on an insulin syringe) = 125 IU per dose, 250 IU daily
.3 cc (or 30 on an insulin syringe) = 150 IU per dose, 300 IU daily
The maximum dose is 333 IU per day. I personally haven’t seen anyone who needs this amount. Most need 250 maximum. If you feel that 300 IU isn’t doing the job, mix your next batch as follows:Use 3.75 ml water and 3.75 ml alcohol for your solution, along with a minimal amount to mix the solution.
Draw .25 cc (25 on an insulin syringe) solution each dose. This will give you 166.6 IU each dose. 333 IU daily.
Be careful though, because too much hCG will cause the same effects as not enough, slow or no weight loss.
Injections
Determining your dosage: Preparation according to Dr. Simeons’ original hCG diet protocol calls for 175 i.u. daily doses. Read the manuscript here. Kevin Trudeau has published a different protocol, calling for 175 i.u. to 200 i.u. dependant on various factors, including the amount of weight that needs to be lost. Discuss the amount of your protocol with your provider.
Required: hCG in powder concentrate, injection safe sterile water, syringes for mixing with replacement needles, alcohol pads, sterile glass vial.
A note on the sterile water provided with the hCG: The powder concentrate includes an ampoule of liquid sterile water to be mixed with it, however, this amount is not sufficient for the hCG weight loss shots and should be discarded. An entirely new, larger vial of injection safe sterile water is required. Sterile water which can be found at any medical supply site, or pharmacy, that is safe for injecting. For 175 i.u. doses, 30 cc of water is needed. Bacteriostatic sterile water is noted to preserve the mixed hCG for up to one month.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT MIX TWO DIFFERENT LIQUIDS WITH THE HCG. You want to use only one liquid, from one source, to dissolve the powder.
hCG Diet Shots: Mixing procedure for 200 i.u. injections, using a 5000 i.u. ampoule of hCG:Mixing Prep: hCG weight loss shots are prepared in a very sterile environment. The area should be cleaned with bleach or alcohol and left to air dry. Mixing materials should be laid out in the sterile environment and hands should be washed with anti-bacterial soap. Hands should be dried with paper towels.
Opening the glass ampoule of the HCG powder concentrate:
The top of the ampoule is cleaned with alcohol. Using one swift motion, the top is snapped away from the body. It is suggested that an inside out alcohol pad wrapper is used when opening for protection.
The rubber top of the 30cc bacteriostatic water vial is sterilized with a new rubbing alcohol pad.
The rubber top of a new sterile glass vial is sterilized with a new rubbing alcohol pad.
Using a 30cc syringe, 25cc of sterile water is drawn.
The needle is replaced.
1cc of sterile water is injected into the hCG ampoule, slowly down the side of the glass, not allowing the needle to touch the glass. If the needle touches the glass, replace the needle before continuing to the next step. The powder will dissolve almost immediately, with a gentle swirling of the vial. DO NOT SHAKE.
24cc of sterile water is then injected into the new Glass vial.
With a new 3cc syringe, the 1 cc of hCG is drawn.
Needle is replaced.
The glass vial is then sterilized with a new alcohol pad, and the hCG is injected into the new sterile glass vial containing the 24 cc of sterile water.
1 ml = 1cc
The result is 25 doses of 1 ml doses. 1 cc of the new mixture is drawn into a new 3 cc syringe for each injection providing a 200 i.u. dose.
Self injection tips can be found here.
Additional hCG Measurements and Amounts
175 i.u. INJECTIONS WITH A 5000 i.u. AMPOULE OF hCG:The procedure is the same as above, except 28.5 cc of sterile water is used instead of 25 cc. This results in 28 doses of 1 ml each. 1 cc of the mixture is drawn into a sterile 3 cc syringe for each injection, providing the 175 i.u. dose.
200 i.u. INJECTIONS WITH A 1500 i.u. AMPOULE OF hCG:
The mixing procedure is exactly the same as the above procedure except 7.5 cc. of sterile water is used instead of 25 cc. Results in 7 doses of 1 ml each. 1 cc of the mixture is drawn into a sterile 3 cc syringe for each injection, providing the 200 i.u. dose.
175 i.u. INJECTIONS WITH A 1500 i.u. AMPOULE OF hCG:
The mixing procedure is the same as the above procedure except 8.5 cc of sterile water is used instead of 25 cc. Results in 8 doses of 1 ml each. 1 cc of the mixture is drawn into a sterile 3 cc syringe for each injection, providing the 175 i.u. dose.
Which syringes are used for HCG weightloss shots?
General details that should help with this discussion with your physician: Although a very small, 29 gauge, 1/2″ inch needle is considered more comfortable for HCG self injecting, most medical professionals agree that a larger, 25 gauge 1 inch needle is required for intramuscular injection. 3 cc/ml is the container size needed. Consider self-sheathing needles for the protection of yourself and others. OD NOT REUSE NEEDLES.Helpful Notes
1 ml = 1 cc
i.u. = international units
HCG should be refrigerated after mixing
Notes about Syringes used for HCG diet shots
The larger the gauge number, the smaller the needle: for example, a 21 gauge needle is larger than a 29 gauge needle.
